Peter Raynham

University College London

Peter has been involved in lighting for over 39 years, during that time he has worked at lamp and luminaire manufacturers as well as his current post in higher education. Peter is currently running research projects as well teaching lighting to masters degree students and supervising doctoral students.

Peter, is active in a number of bodies associated with lighting and is a past president of the Society Light and Lighting and former Director of the International Association of Light and Lighting and is an active on the Membership Committee for the Institution of Lighting Professionals.

He has been working on lighting standards for a number of decades and currently chairs the British Standards (BSI) committee on Light and Lighting and is involved in a number of Standards committees in CEN and ISO.

      TM30 looks set to replace the colour rendering index (CRI) method of measuring the ability of LEDs to illuminate colours accurately. This session looks at the implications for manufacturers.
